Self-catering accommodation in restored railway carriages on the former Forge Valley (Scarborough–Pickering) line, which closed in 1950. The station was originally named Wilton, later Ebberston.
The village's only remaining pub, serving food and drink at the heart of Allerston. It takes its name from Sir George Cayley, the aviation pioneer who held lands in the area.

There is no shop in Allerston itself. The nearest Post Office counter and village shop is Wardill Bros in neighbouring Thornton-le-Dale.
